    YELLOWJACKET DIVERSITY SERIES

We are excited to invite you to our four-part diversity series, “The Yellowjacket Diversity Series.” This series will provide you with a comprehensive understanding of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) through engaging discussions and insightful presentations. You’ll gain the knowledge and tools needed to foster an inclusive environment and promote meaningful social change.

Students who attend at least 3 out of the 4 sessions, complete the required pre and post assessments, and end-of-session quizzes will receive a t-shirt, a certificate of completion, and a Credly Badge.

    Why participate?

    • To learn how to have meaningful conversations around heavy topics such as racism and inequality
    • Help ensure campus remains inclusive, where all feel a sense of belonging
    • Learn about what the letters in the acronym LGBTQIA+ represent
    • Recognize implicit bias and acquire tips on what to do about it, because we all have it

    Events:
Tuesday, February 11th; 1-2pm; “Women in the Medical Field with Amy Nelson”
Tuesday,  February 18th; 1-2pm; “Courageous Conversations with Sidney Frye”
Tuesday, February 25th; 1-3pm; “Safe Space Training with Dr. Jorgenson”

    PHI THETA KAPPA

Are you one of RCTC’s top-ranked students that received the spring 2025 PTK invitation? Check your email!

Phi Theta Kappa members make the most of their community college experience by being active members of our chapter and contributing their time and talents to activities related to PTK’s hallmarks of scholarship, leadership, fellowship, and service. To be eligible, students must complete a certain number of credits (between 9-12 depending on their program) and earn a GPA of 3.4 or higher.

PTK sends out invitations each year in the spring and fall. Please note that invitations to join Phi Theta Kappa will come directly from Phi Theta Kappa. Treat all other “honor society” invitations (honorsocietyinvite@gmail.com, etc.) as SPAM and deleting them. If you have questions or want to confirm the legitimacy of your invitation, please contact Ellie Randall, RCTC Sociology instructor and Phi Theta Kappa advisor (elise.randall@rctc.edu).
