Register for 2022 Spring
November 24 is the last day to withdraw from Fall Semester 2021 full-term classes. Students unsure if they should withdraw from a course are encouraged to consult an academic advisor or counselor.
You can withdraw on the eServices site until 11pm or withdraw in person at the registration counter until 5pm. Students with “holds” on their record must withdraw in person.
The published withdrawal deadlines for short-term courses that start late or end early in the semester are available on the RCTC website.
PLEASE NOTE: Withdrawals do not impact a student’s GPA, but they impact a student’s completion rate and may impact your ability to maintain satisfactory academic progress.
In the interest of promoting the safety of our campus community, Rochester Community and Technical College has implemented an emergency notification system, RCTC Emergency Alert.
What is RCTC Emergency Alert?
RCTC’s emergency notification system makes it possible for students, employees, and community members to receive quick notifications by text, phone, and email for campus emergencies that threaten life or safety and/or severely impact standard campus operations. The RCTC Emergency Alert system will only be used in emergency situations.
How do I sign up for alerts?
RCTC Students and Employees: All current RCTC students and employees automatically receive RCTC Emergency Alerts at their RCTC email accounts. If you wish to receive alerts as a text message, a phone message, or at another email address, you need to set up an account by using either your RCTC email address or a personal email address as a user ID. You will need to establish a password for this account.
All Others: Non-RCTC students and employees may sign-up to receive RCTC Emergency Alerts. If you wish to receive alerts as a text message, a phone message, or an email address, you need to set up an account by using an email address as a user ID. You will need to establish a password for this account.
Password Settings: Passwords must be at least 8 characters, including 1 lower-case letter, 1 capital letter, and 1 number. Spaces and special characters are not permitted.

THE TECHNOLOGY SUPPORT CENTER (TSC) IS HERE TO HELP!
The Technology Support Center (TSC) is available for students’ technical issues here at RCTC, which includes login and printing issues, installing free software for home use, and guided assistance with laptops and mobile devices.
Additionally, the TSC has digital equipment checkout items and provides traditional media supplies. A complete listing of TSC checkout items, supplies, and services can be found on the TSC website.
Educational discount tip: as a student, if you plan on purchasing any new technology devices or software, ask for an educational discount! Most retailers offer discounts for college students which can save you quite a bit of money.
Remember: always be very careful when someone contacts you that you were not expecting (with an offer of employment, a free prize, your password has expired, etc., and asks for your personal information, or for you to send them money). It is most likely a SCAM!
