Breaking barriers to recognize 2-year student athletes
The Minnesota College Athletic Conference, under the leadership of Peter Watkins, hopes to break the barriers holding back many two-year athletic programs. This includes lack of recognition for the teams and low promotion of conference events, all of which results in two-year sports teams and leagues being overlooked in favor of four-year schools.

Rager nominated for coach of the year
RCTC Head Wrestling Coach Randy Rager is finalist for Area Coach of the Year. “We are thrilled that the Rochester Amateur Sports Commission has named Coach Rager as a finalist for Coach of the Year,” said RCTC Athletic Director Mike Lester.
Crossfit coach recalls time with Olympians
Kendrick Bachman, a coach at the Crossfit Credence gym in Rochester, currently attends RCTC for a few classes. As an athlete and a swimmer, he’s also had the opportunity to swim against and hang out with professional swimmers like Ryan Lochte, Michael Phelps, Matt Grevers, Brendan Hansen, and Aaron Peirson.
