The Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society recently inducted 14 students at a ceremony in RCTC’s Hill Theatre.
Inductees include: Nicholas Bjergum of Kasson; Rebecca Caflisch of Rochester; Erin Joppa of Rochester; Kallie Karlen of Byron; Hailey Klunder of Rochester; Tara Kral of Rochester; Aaron Lassila of Rochester; Jerome Nguyen of Rochester; Travis Pettey of Rochester; Lindsey Simon of Rochester; Angela Stilwell of Rochester; Corri Vander Woude of Jackson; Alyssa Wooding of Lake City; and Rebekah Young of Rochester.
“We are honoring 14 Associate Degree nursing students because of their demonstrated excellence and integrity in nursing studies and clinical practice,” said Patricia Engstrom, RCTC nursing Instructor and honor society adviser. “These students have served as student-faculty liaisons to help RCTC continually improve the AD Nursing program. In addition, the inductees support others by serving as tutors in nursing labs and assist students with nursing skills and dosage calculations. The Associate Degree Nursing students will use their knowledge to help patients gain the knowledge needed for personal health and safety.”
Alpha Delta Nu inductees were awarded a pin, certificate and honor cord to be worn at commencement.
The Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society recognizes the academic excellence of students in the Associate Degree Nursing major. Students applying to the Alpha Delta Nu Nursing Honor Society must have a 3.0 grade-point average or better in all of their nursing classes and demonstrate conduct that reflects integrity and professionalism in all clinical areas.
The Alpha Delta Nu Nursing society encourages the pursuit of advanced degrees in the profession of nursing as well as continuing education as a lifelong professional responsibility. Members of the society also participate in the recruitment of qualified individuals into the profession of nursing.
