RCTC will host a harvest dinner with polar explorer Will Steger on Oct. 25.
Steger will provide a retrospective of a life in the arctic regions of the world during his presentation, “Eyewitness to Global Warming.” He’ll discuss firsthand observations of how pollutants have changed the Arctic regions during his four decades of exploration.
Steger has logged thousands of miles of travel by dogsled and has been a leader in the charge to preserve the Arctic. He’ll share photographs and satellite imagery of the deterioration in the polar ice caps in his presentation
The dinner is from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 25, at the Rochester International Events Center. Cost is $55 per person and will include a turkey dinner with mashed potatoes, corn, dinner rolls, coffee and dessert.
