Students might remember that RCTC hosted a blood drive on campus in February. Now they can learn the significant impact of their donations.
Over two days, the donation team from Mayo Clinic collected18 units of blood from students and faculty. With each unit of blood capable of saving up to three lives, RCTC contributed to the well-being of as many as 54 people in local communities!
The new mobile collection bus was successful and well-received, said Mayo Clinic spokesman Adam Stewart.
“Both the donation team and students loved the convenience of the mobile collection bus. It will definitely be used in future events.”

Local media were invited to tour the bus, he noted. “It was a great opportunity to highlight RCTC students and how important it is to donate blood.” Stewart said.
“The team cannot wait to get back to RCTC in the fall,” he added. “We are so thankful for the selflessness and generosity of RCTC and its staff and students.”
