Beginning April 1, 2021, work starts on replacement of the Science and Technology Building and Atrium roofs. The project includes replacement of the 30+ year old ballasted-membrane roof system with a new Minnesota State standard built-up roofing system with an expected 40 year lifespan. This replacement work also includes replacement of the Atrium skylight system with a new skylight, new guardrail system at building perimeter, and permanent access stairs/ladders for raised roof areas to improve safety. This project has dual funding sources: the Science and Technology Hall Roof Replacement is funded with 2020 HEAPR funds and the Atrium Roof Replacement is funded with FY2021 Campus funds.
