Yellowjackets Earn Trophies in Drum Corps International Competition

Rochester Community and Technical College is proud to announce that RCTC faculty, students, and alumni were a part of the group that won the Class A division of the inaugural All-Ages Competition associated with the Drum Corps International (DCI). The competition was held last weekend at the Drum and Bugle Corps All-Age Class Championship in the Lucas Oil Stadium in Indianapolis, Indiana.

RCTC music instructor Will Frame, RCTC percussion instructor Lee Kruger, current RCTC students Ivy Sklenicka and Ashley Boysen, and recent RCTC graduates Caden Hoppe and Ashleigh Cox, were part of the group who competed in the competition.

Established in rural St. Peter, Minnesota in 1927, the all-age Govenaires Drum and Bugle Corps has served as an ambassador of the marching arts to southern Minnesota and beyond for nearly a century. The Govenaires are the oldest competing drum and bugle corps in the world.
